Art Director

The Art Director will create and manage art development on multi-platform projects. Excellent communication skills, organization, and a proven track record in management and art direction for both internal and external outsourcing studios are essential.


  • Responsible for the visual quality of all game content and must assure that all visual elements are in line with the game's vision.
  • Establish the visual priorities for the art team
  • Communicate to the art team the expectations in terms of level of quality of the content through the use of visual references, documentation, and style guide
  • Develop concepts in collaboration with the design team so that the core gameplay and features are understood and communicated visually in the best ways  possible
  • Understand platform limitation and communicate with engineering and the Senior Character Technical Artist for any tools needed to be developed to better support the art team
  • Foster a team environment by being a leader and role model for the art team all the while working to push the envelope on the visual quality of the product


  • Excellent traditional artistic skills with a strong understanding of anatomy, composition, color theory, perspective, lighting, environmental, atchitectural, character, and graphic design.
  • Some proficiency in Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Sketch Up, or other standard 3D application
  • Familiar with game development pipeline and production needs
  • Proven track record of team management
  • Excellent communication and English skills
