Senior Character Technical Artist

The Senior Character Technical Artist will create rigs, animation tools, and be a bridge between engineering and art technical needs.


  • Create and improve rigs for characters and props
  • Maintain, optimize, and expand upon the animation pipeline by providing tools and technical support for the art team
  • Help to address integration, functionality, and performance related issues between the art and engineering departments


  • At least 3 years working experience in game development as a Character Technical Artist or Rigger
  • Working knowledge of all stages and domains of animation and asset creation in a game development pipeline
  • Advanced understanding of rigging using Autodesk Maya
  • Understanding of game animation, character anatomy, and modeling topology as it applies to deformations
  • Strong competency in Python, PyMel, and mel
  • Strong competency in Unity
  • Ability to manage their own time and work within deadlines
  • Good communication and English skills
